Property, Farm or Locality Research

Local History Projects add depth and understanding to many family histories. A family tree with names and dates is a start but placing your ancestors within their community helps us to better understand their lives.

If you find that your ancestors lived in a particular village or area for a couple of generations or more why not widen your knowledge?

Or maybe they lived in a particular house for several generations?

Or explore the history of your own house. In my most recent research I discovered that a 19th century Mayor of Carlisle had lived in my home and later it sheltered evacuees in WW2.

I am able to research an individual property or area or give tuition helping a client to prepare a research plan for their own project.

Give a House History as a Gift

The history of a beloved family home can be an unusual and

special present for a loved one.
